Ans : Identity is the most unique trait that shapes our individuality and existence. It has been defined diversely by different people and philosophies. Outwardly from a socialistic viewpoint for our family background, our upbringing and religion, our education and profession and nationality, our cultural and social background etc. are the external factors that decide our Identity in society. These factors play a key role in shaping our identity psychology as well.
Apart from it, there are some internal factors that determine our intrinsic identity or individuality that is within us since our birth. The highest being the fact that we are Human! Our gender, physical uniqueness and birth marks cannot be ignored also. But the most defining aspects are our emotional and mental qualities, our thought process and our intrinsic nature, behavior et al. In our identity search, our attitude and our spirituality, our mysticism and originality of character, our humanity, judgments and the sense of right and wrong are the most deciding elements of our true identity. And we are supposed to maintain a balance and harmony between our external and internal traits of individuality to retain our Mystic Wisdom as well as our sense of belongingness.
